Calling all assisted living facilities - who wants to adopt a dog?

Assisted living facilities of all kinds, including homes for abused women, such as Harbor House. Also, any Homes for Humanity, or homeless shelters that may have people who would like to have a dog, but just can't afford it. A dog or cat can be fostered to companions for no cost. All food, medical needs and grooming will be provided as needed for each pet, through A Forever Home Animal Rescue.

Perspective adoptees, will be escorted through participating facilities every week. Residents will have an opportunity to visit with desired pets in their room. Trial runs are welcome, if a resident needs a day or two to "test run" a pet. At A Forever Home Animal Rescue there is a "satisfaction gaurantee" with every foster/adoption. That is, if anyone is not happy with their selected pet, they may, and are expected to be, returned to the shelter. Another one may be chosen, in its place.

The adoption fee will be waived for all participanting assisted living facilities, as the program is run just like foster homes. Normal adoption fees pertain to those adopting pets individually, and not in an assisted living facility.

There may need to be some chances made to the facility to accommodate a group of "hound home companions." Such as a fenced in area, and a doggy door. These items will be provided through donations to A Forever Home Animal Rescue.
