Hello Dear Readers, I'm Back! I've been through a real Transformation over the past few years. My Pit Bull, Leroy Brown played a part in, and helped me through my transformational shift.
The Pivotal point of my transformation was when I got bit by my own Pit Bull! That's right! But it was an "accident" and completely my fault!
Let me explain... A "friend" of mine, brought over his female, Bitch Pit Bull, in my home with my neutered Pit, and neutered Shepherd mix. The Shepherd mix, Charlie, was a new rescue, and he and my Leroy, had been in four fights, or "scuffles" over food! Charlie had a real food aggression, as he was homeless for a while, and had to fend for himself!
I warned Charlie each time, that if his behavior continued, I'd have to take him to the pound! I simply would NOT put up with my old Pit Bull being abused! He never started a fight in the whole time that I had him; but he did defend himself.
It took me off guard that Charlie would attack Leroy over the Bitch! Well, he did, and I wrapped my arms around Charlie's neck to pull him off of Leroy. I just saw Leroy falling on his back and reacted. However, at that moment, Leroy sat up, ready to fight back! And Yes, I put my hand right in his mouth. I clearly felt him bite down three times. It wasn't pretty.
Here's how it looks now, after three surgeries! That's right THREE! You know WHY? Because I thought I could take care of it myself. Yes, that was more stupid than trying to stop a dog fight with my hands!
It was a week before I gave in and went to the hospital. By that time, it was severely infected.

Still Healing, but a LOT better than it was! And my right hand is once again, my dominate hand.
